But what can we do - as the pace - speeds up?

The giants of today are bowing down to AI - Amazon is growing its generative AI efforts. Whilst other people in the entertainment industry are re-imagining its production with AI's light guiding its steps. You should see the generative AI videos that are now being created!

But as we also see in Hollywood there is a lot of negative reaction to part of this change as well. Hence the script writers STRIKES.

Which are not surprising as suddenly, seemingly insurmountable tasks like writing new movies, creating engaging emails, crystallising trends and predictions, and developing marketing strategies turn into a walk in the park with the aid of AI. Artificial intelligence seems to be here to streamline your mundane tasks, freeing up your time, not replacing but enhancing your efforts.

However, this transition isn't painless. As OpenAI's recent attempt with their AI Text Detector proved, the learning curve in AI is steep. But in the wise words of Toffler, what we need today are

"preparation and coping skills”

And to this I would add education too. But what can we do if the people who created some of the technology now believe due to how quickly it has advanced that even they can’t reliably tell when is computer generated and what is human? And does it really make any difference to how we consume or produce things anyway?

From a marketing POV I don’t think it matters. Marketing is getting goods and services to the right market - whether that’s a horse drawn cart or a lorry. The person at the end of it all - doesn’t care. But does it matter for deeper thought, for art, for empathy and compassion? For society? For You?
